Dr. Brent Soltys & Grace Colleen

Grace Colleen has worked in and around events since the age of 9. Born and raised in Rockford, she graduated from Harlem High School in 2011 with Tri-M honors. She graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Roosevelt University. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and served as social and sisterhood coordinators. Grace is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. Grace started her own event coordinating business, Smile Events, specializing in event coordinating and planning. She stays involved in Rockford through Ignite Young Professionals, RACVB, and BAMIT for District 205. Grace and Brent met on Match.com in 2015, now live together, and have two dogs – a schnoodle, Rosey, and a German Shepard, Keelie. Together they enjoy snow-skiing, golfing, their bowling league, traveling, and performing at Starlight Theatre each summer.

Dr. Brent Soltys attended Rockford Lutheran High School and graduated as valedictorian in 2005. He attended Marquette University for both his undergraduate and dental school studies after being accepted into the Pre-Dental Scholars accelerated program. He graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences in 2009 and continued to graduate Magna Cum Laude with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2012. Dr. Soltys is very thankful to be practicing general dentistry with his father. He is dedicated to providing the utmost excellence in general dentistry, and is committed to patient care and overall experience and satisfaction. In the community, Dr. Soltys is a member of Ignite Young Professionals, the Chamber of Commerce, and frequently volunteers for Rockford events like Stroll on State and Transform Rockford. He also volunteers for Give Kids a Smile, as well as Illinois and Wisconsin Mission of Mercy events, all of which donate dental care to underserved people. Dr. Soltys also donates dental services to veterans during the month of November. Additionally, he speaks to pre-schoolers and first-graders at various schools annually during National Children’s Dental Health Month (February) about their teeth and oral hygiene. For relaxation and fun, Dr. Soltys and his girlfriend, Grace, enjoy snow skiing, golfing, their bowling league, and his softball league. They also enjoy attending and participating in live theater at RVC’s Starlight Theatre.
